    We have two requirements of speakers: They must be subject-matter experts on the topic at hand, and they must be great presenters.  Being a “good” speaker doesn’t cut it for us.  For 2020, you can expect to hear fresh, new insights from the best of the best, whether they’re with pureplay Internet companies, local ad agencies, media companies, or top-level industry analysts.

    Jennifer has been with Hulu since February 2019 and is responsible for managing local and regional sales channels nationwide. She oversees all sales strategies related to local and regional market demands and guides the expansion of Hulu’s creative resource offerings for local and regional buyers. Before to joining Hulu, Jennifer served as the Vice President of Agency Sales for Entercom. Prior to that, she  spent 15 years at CBS Radio, where she was senior vice president of sales before CBS and Entercom merged in 2017. At CBS, Donohue oversaw all aspects of sales in the New York market, the largest local business for the company, and managed both the Integrated Marketing and Live Events divisions.     Joe Walsh

    Joe was named CEO & President of Thryv in 2014, when the company was named Dex Media. Prior to that he was CEO and chairman of the investment and advisory firm Walsh Partners, and chairman of Cambium Learning Group (NASDAQ ticker ABCD), a leading educational technology company. He is best known for his leadership at Yellowbook, where he began as a sales rep in 1987 and served as president and CEO from 1993-2011. During his tenure, Yellowbook grew from a directory publisher to the nation’s premier provider of small business advertising and marketing solutions. He led the company through a series of acquisitions and new market launches, as well as unprecedented print and online growth.     Amy’s teams oversee ads and non-ads revenue opportunities for Google’s News partners. Amy also leads the data pillar of the Google News Initiative (GNI), Google’s $300 million commitment to the news industry, helping journalists and their publishers remain profitable in new and innovative ways.  Amy’s roots in media and analytics run deep. Her first job out of college was at NBC as part of GE’s Financial Management Program. After graduation, she joined a small startup called DoubleClick in 1997. Prior to joining Comscore, Bill served as Vice Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Rentrak, where he spearheaded the next generation of products to precisely measure movies and TV everywhere.     Nancy is CEO of the Local Media Association, whose mission is to help local media companies discover new and sustainable business models. LMA works with more than 2,800 newspapers, TV stations, radio stations, digital news sites, and several hundred R&D partners in the industry. She has been with the organization since 2000 and led its transformation from a newspaper-centric association six years ago to a true umbrella organization that brings together all local media for the purpose of networking, collaborating and learning. Prior to 2000, Nancy spent 13 years in the newspaper industry as publisher, ad director and senior executive. She is a graduate of Villanova University and president of its alumni association.     Gordon Borrell

    Gordon is one of the media industry’s leading analysts. He is ranked in the top 2% among Gerson Lehrman Group’s 150,000 consultants worldwide. Prior to starting Borrell Associates, Gordon was vice president for new media for Landmark Communications, where he worked for 22 years. He started his career as a newspaper reporter and helped establish the first TV, newspaper, cable and network TV websites in the mid-1990s. He is chairman of the Local Media Association and is past president of the Newspaper Association of America’s New Media Federation.     Corey is the Executive Vice President of Local Market Intelligence. Corey joined Borrell Associates in 2014.  Prior to Borrell, he was director of market intelligence at Gannett Co.     Liz White is a 5th generation executive in the 152-year-old family business, Record-Journal Media Group in central Connecticut. In November 2019 she was named publisher of the Record-Journal, the company’s 15,000-circulation daily newspaper in Meriden, CT. She holds an MBA from Yale School of Management, a bachelor’s from Boston College, and was recognized in 2016 by Editor & Publisher Magazine as one of The 25 Under 35 in the industry.     As head of Belo Business Intelligence and Chief Product Officer of The Dallas Morning News, Mike responsible for all digital products, analytics and business intelligence. Prior to that role, he was president of Speakeasy, a content marketing agency founded in partnership with The Dallas Morning News and a Dallas ad agency. He also founded Pegasus News, one of the largest pure-play metro news sites, and was publisher of Texas Lawyer and General Manager of D Magazine.     Bill Day is an experienced media executive with a successful record leading project teams to improve sales and reduce expenses for Fortune 500 companies. Bill has spent the better part of the last two decades working in and with multi-media companies, helping to build and implement market-leading applications for properties from major metros to community papers. While at Tribune, he led projects as diverse as the CareerBuilder.com rollout, event marketing development and pricing strategy for multiple publications. At Gannett, Bill was integral to the design, development and launch of Sunday Select, leading the sales effort with national retailers like Target, Best Buy and Staples. Bill has also been named to the faculty of American University’s School of Communications where he lectures on Media Economics, Management and New Media Ecosystems.     Zak Rosen is a Detroit-based story maker and Director of Podcast at Graham Media Group. His radio features have been heard on NPR, CBC, BBC, PRI, APM, Deutsche Welle and Radio Helsinki.     Alan Fisco provides oversight and leadership of The Seattle Times’ executive team, and maintains direct leadership of finance, circulation, operations, human resources and labor. He is also responsible for The Seattle Times’ affiliate newspapers, the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin and the Yakima Herald-Republic, and its commercial printing subsidiary, Rotary Offset Press. Fisco celebrated his 25th anniversary with The Seattle Times in 2017. He joined the company as the Single Copy Sales Manager in 1992 and has held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President of Circulation and Marketing. In 2013, Fisco was promoted to Senior Vice President and in 2016, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.     As Managing Director at FTI Consulting, Peter partners with clients to engineer their digital transformation.     Darryl is a founding partner in the law firm of Kogan & DiSalvo, with offices in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach, Florida. The firm specializes in personal injury cases. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, which is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar for the competency and experience of an attorney in the personal injury area.  Darryl obtained his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1983, an MBA from the University of Denver in 1979, and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in 1977. Prior to starting Kogan & DiSalvo in 1994, Darryl spent seven years as an associate and then partner with the firm of Paxton, Bragg, Smith & Keyser in West Palm Beach.  Darryl’s Session

    Bill Caudill

    Bill is in charge of digital and cross-platform sales leader for the Nexstar’s 197 TV stations across 115 markets.  His role includes developing and executing go-to-market sales strategies and leading innovation in digital product mix and market approach.  Prior to joining Nexstar in 2015, he was corporate director of cross-platform buys at Raycom Media. He was also senior digital sales manager of broadcast sales for Yahoo! and has also head sales development roles at Fox Interactive Media, Borrell Associates, Liberty Corp., and KHOU-TV in Houston.  He earned a degree in telecommunications from the University of Kentucky.     Lisa DeSisto
    CEO & Publisher, Masthead Maine

    Lisa heads up Maine’s largest media network, which publish five daily newspapers and their websites. The network also includes 23 weekly newspapers and two commercial printing operations in Lewiston and South Portland.  Lisa serves on the board of The Associated Press, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine. She hosts a live event series, “Like A Boss,” in which she interviews other Maine CEOs on their leadership principles. Before joining Masthead Maine in 2012, Lisa spent 17 years at The Boston Globe, where she served as Chief Advertising Officer and Vice President/General Manager for Boston.com.     John Conway,

    John oversees the 50-person staff at CBC New Media, owned by Raleigh-based Capitol Broadcasting Company.  Its flagship website, WRAL.com, is the most visited local media site in North Carolina. John and his staff also operate affiliated Web and mobile brands and WRAL’s OTT channels. The New Media group ahas started or acquired new digital publications targeted at younger audiences, and its digital marketing arm, Digital Elements, provides marketing solutions to more than 100 clients. Prior to joining CBC New Media in 2004, he was director of weather content for Internet Broadcasting Systems and was a reporter at The Orlando Sentinel and the Greensboro News & Record.  He earned a degree in Journalism from the UNC School of Media and Journalism.  John’s Session

    Taryn leads the training program of Borrell’s Compass platform. Prior to joining Borrell, Taryn worked for WEHCO Media in various sales and management roles as well as leading a digital team.     Director of Marketing Communications, Nova Southeastern University

    Tara is the director of marketing communications for Nova Southeastern University. She has spent most of her career in higher education, with a focus on creating multi-faceted campaigns to meet enrollment goals. Prior to joining NSU, she held marketing roles at Clark University in Worchester, Mass., and at Worcester Academy, Worcester State University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Earth Tech. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University.
